Formed in 1994, Headnoise is an old-school punk rock band from the southern Californian heritage that birthed other great groups in the JCHC movement (The Crucified, Officer Negative, NIV). In 2000 the group relocated to Chicago and Grrr Records, then returned to the west coast in 2011. Though the band has had a changing roster over the years, founders Robert and Edie Goodwin remain the constant thread. Edie's powerful vocals are the standout in the midst of the guitar-driven, fast-paced hardcore punk rock, and their shared lyric writing takes on social injustices, personal struggles, and offers practical spiritual insights.
